St. Paul City Council Approves Lowertown Master Plan!

On April 18th, the St. Paul City Council unanimously approved the 15 year Greater Lowertown Master Plan. The plan is now a part of the City of St. Paul’s Comprehensive Plan.

The 14 member independent Task Force, headed by Ellen McPartlan, Task Force Chair, worked for two years to: obtain $200,000 in grant funding, manage urban planning consultants, hold 3 community meetings and engage over 700 people in the downtown St. Paul area.

The plan was then reviewed by the District 17 and District 4 Councils, the Planning Commission and the Historic Preservation Commission before the final was successfully approved by the St. Paul City Council in April.
